Christmas Time in Rust: What to Expect from the Christmas Event!
The Christmas Event starts on December 16th and is active until the January Force Wipe.
Here’s an overview of the main features of the event:
Present Spawns
A central element of the event is that presents spawn regularly
- Gift Mechanics: During the christmas event, two presents spawn for each player within a 40-meter radius of your location. Listen for the sound of bells – it signals that the presents are ready to be collected.
- Interaction: The gifts must be destroyed to reveal their contents. You’ll get small or medium-sized presents – with some luck, both!
- Upgrades: If you gather enough small or medium-sized presents, you can combine them into a larger gift.

A special highlight, they function like small dungeons

- Inside the gingerbread houses, you’ll find not only festive decorations but also dangerous gingerbread men. They may look sweet, but they are deadly opponents.
Rewards in the Mines
Players brave enough to enter the gingerbread houses will be rewarded.
Santas Supply Drop
Do you hear festive music in the sky? Then Santa is on his way!
- Festive Announcement: If you hear festive music in the sky, Santa is near! The sound signals the arrival of the Santa sleigh.
- Airdrop Mechanics: The Santa sleigh flies regularly over the map and drops an airdrop in the form of a huge gift.
Loot in the Santa Supply Drop
- The Santa Supply Drops contain rewards ranging from useful resources and weapons to festive items.

What would Christmas time be without sledges?

- Crafting: Alternatively, you can craft your own sledge.
